Current Currency Surcharge
Updated 1st February 2012 During January, the strength of the pound has not varied significantly against the Japanese Yen, US$, HK$ and SIN$. This has given no change in the average drop of these currencies, versus the value of Sterling in December 2007 of 32.04%, meaning Level 11 of our Currency Surcharge Calculator has been maintained. Therefore, the Currency Surcharge rate applicable throughout January's trading will remain at 5%. This has given an average drop of these currencies, versus the value of Sterling in December 2007 of 32.04%, meaning Level 11 of our Currency Surcharge Calculator has been maintained. This would ordinarily imply a Currency Surcharge rate of 5%, and having absorbed the increase over the last two months we are in the regrettable position of having to increase the Currency Surcharge to 5%, effective from 3rd January 2012 Therefore, the Currency Surcharge rate applicable throughout January's trading will become 5%. This has given an average drop of these currencies, versus the value of Sterling in December 2007 of 31.47%, meaning Level 11 of our Currency Surcharge Calculator has been maintained. This would ordinarily imply a Currency Surcharge rate of 5%, however we have decided to absorb the increase for the time being and hold the surcharge at it's current level throughout December, and reappraise for January. Therefore, the Currency Surcharge rate applicable throughout December's trading will remain at 4.5%. Current Fuel Surcharge
Updated 8th January 2012 Further to BA's decrease in fuel surcharging to £0.67 per kilo on 3rd January 2012, we will be decreasing our fuel surcharge to 13%, effective 8th January 2011. The security surcharge remains at 3%. ------------------------------------------------------- Updated December 2011 Further to BA's increase in fuel surcharging to £.70 per kilo on 7th December 2011, we will be increasing our fuel surcharge to 13.5%, effective 15th December 2011. The security surcharge remains at 3%.
